c- Indications of temporary pacing.

2) Describe the uses and limitations of:
a- Transeosophageal echocardiography in aortic diseases.
b- Resting ECG in patients with coronary artery disease.

b- Calculate the Qp/Qs (shunt)
c- How would you treat this patient ?

1) Discuss the diagnosis of each of the following :
    a- Non cardiac causes of pulmonary hypertension.
    b- Non-rheumatic mitral incompetence.

2) Describe the mechanisms, diagnosis and management of supraventricular tachycardias.

3) A 45 year old male patient was admitted to the ER with chest pain, dizziness and diaphoresis. He is known to be hypertensive and smokes 20 cigarettes per day for 15 years. Vital signs showed a pulse of 40 beats/min and regular. BP of 90/70 supine in the right arm. Examination of all systems was unremarkable except for the bradycardia and a soft apical systolic murmur of mitral incompetence.

    a- How would you proceed in the diagnosis of this patient ?
    b- What are the different therapeutic options you may need for this patient ?
