ECG with continuous artifacts.
A 54 year old female came for regular check up for a permanent VVI-pacemaker. She had occasional palpitations. She was over weight and also complaining of recurrent backache. She has a long standing history of gastritis.
Recording an ECG to assess the VVI-device showed frequent artifacts which did not disappear in spite of changing the electrodes.

دردشه عن الغش و الأطباء!.

قصة طبية
هو إنسان بسيط ومكافح بمعنى الكلمة ، تعرفت عليه منذ أكثر من خمس سنوات حيث ذهبت
إلى بلدته فى جامعته الإقليمية كممتحن خارجى لرسالة الدكتوراة ، والأخيرة هى محصلة
بحث علمى معملى على مرضى القلب وقام به الطبيب على مدى 3 سنوات على الأقل.
وعندما آتى إلى ومعه هذه الرسالة وهى على هيئة كتيب من حوالى 300 صفحة ، فطلبت منه أن
يعطينى مهلة شهر لأتمكن من مراجعتها وقراءة المراجع والأبحاث المماثلة لها
بالدوريات العلمية الأجنبية لكى أعطي تقييم علمى متكافىء لهذا البحث.
وفوجئت به فى
شبه حالة إنهيار لطول مدة الإنتظار .. "يا بك فى عرضك .. فى طولك .. أنا غلبان ..
هذا سيؤثر فى تعيينى بوظيفة مدرس بالجامعة .. رئيس القسم يكرهنى لأسباب لا يعلمها
إلا الله .. هو يتعمد أن يؤخر أوراقى حتى تفوتنى فرصة التعيين بوظيفة مدرس بالقسم
..إعتبرنى إبنك .. أرجوك أن تقرأها فى مدة أسبوع !!". وعندما بدأت عيناه تغرورقان
بالدموع وافقت على أن تكون المهلة اسبوعين.
ولا أنكر أننى وجدت الكثير من المشقة فى قراءة هذه الرسالة ، ليس لضيق الوقت فقط ،
ولكن لكثرة الأخطاء العلمية و الإحصائية واللغوية بها.

Heart Rate as marker of cardiovascular risk : The new kid on the block

A considerable number of observational studies showed faster
heart rates to be associated with cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
Several questions regarding the significance of a resting heart rate as marker
of cardiovascular risk are still obscure. The inclusion of this variable in the
list of cardiovascular risk factors is still unclear.
Background: The association between tachycardia and heart disease was observed
since over 60 years, subjects with resting tachycardia were found to have more
tendency to become hypertensive.

I'm 23 years old, female
I have family history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (1st degree).
Before one month I didn't have any complaint but one month ago I started to feel chest tightness with effort or nervousness and sometimes irregular heart beats.
My hemoglobin level one month ago was 11.5mg
My ECG when the doctor saw it he said that he need to auscultate my heart sound or to do echo.
Please can you tell me your advice.

such ageart effort
i'm doctor 26 years old
i suffered from chest pain which become sever and comes in attachs and last 4 hours then i have made checkup and the clinical diagnosis was unstable angina.i undergo cardiac catheterisation
final diagnosis was coronary slow flow.
that was one year ago.the doctors adviced me to take asprine and diet and make some sport but i still suffering from chest pain esp in wintre and when i feel upset
what i have to do now
is there an active treatment
and if not ,is there symptomatic treatment as i have been told that nitrates r contraindicated.
plz help me and thank u again

A 59 years male patient with CHD developed in-stent restenosis (ISR) 3 months after PCI. A second drug eluting stent (DES) was deployed to regain flow. However, three months later he suffered another acute MI, for which he received thrombolytics (tPA). His symptoms slightly improved, but shortly he developed severe hematemesis and melena, as a complication to tPA.
